Katja van de Braak (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) is a conservator of modern and contemporary art. She completed a Professional Doctorate in Conservation and Restoration (PDRes) with a specialization in Modern and Contemporary Art at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in 2016. Currently she is working as an independent conservator of modern and contemporary art. Since 2017 she is a guest lecturer in conservation practice within the contemporary art training program at the University of Amsterdam.
As part of her studies, Katja worked on a broad range of objects (video-, kinetic-, conceptual-, installation art and sculptures). Through various internships at well-known museums and private practices, she gained professional experience at both national and international levels.
